In order to be able to continue to train the best Junior Welders in Europe, and to have the highest standard of training in the world, we designed and implemented something extraordinary: the "Welder's Cage."
This welding exercise, is the most difficult in the world, the most complex exercise ever invented and carried out by a Welding School.
The "Welder's Cage" is a tangle of pipes, fittings, valves, flanges and carpentry, all carefully placed in complex and difficult to access ways. This exercise, challenges and tests our welding trainees, pushing them to their limits.
The '' Welder G age'' has large dimensions, measuring about 5 meters in length by 6 meters in width and 3 meters in height, the ''Welder Gage'' requires welders to perform welds in extremely challenging positions and angles, following specific procedures chosen for their training at ITAFORMA.
This training experience takes our students to levels of proficiency that are hard to find elsewhere in Europe and the world.
The idea behind the "ITAFORMA Welder's Cage" was to reproduce the real conditions that welders face in the field.
Each position within the Cage is designed to be as uncomfortable as possible, requiring students to weld in difficult conditions that range: from upright to overhead, from a kneeling position to lying on the floor, from right-handed to left-handed welding, with encumbrances so that there is a limited view, not suitable for welding in comfort. Finally, it is also possible to practice mirror welding.
The "Welder's Cage," an exclusive exercise and invented by the ITAFORMA Welding School, represents a real plant to be welded in place.
The "ITAFORMA Welder's Cage" will be available to all our future students in the final stages of our training when they have gained the right experience to take on this unique challenge.
In fact, students will have the opportunity to test their skills and continue to improve until they become true welding experts inside the Cage.
