Exploring Welding Techniques

In addition to offering a comprehensive array of courses, ITAFORMA delves deep into various welding techniques, equipping students with versatile skills essential for success in the welding industry.

Diving into Welding Techniques:

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW):

Also known as electrode welding, SMAW involves the use of a consumable electrode coated in flux to create an electric arc between the electrode and the workpiece. This process is widely used for its simplicity and versatility, making it suitable for a broad range of applications in diverse industries.

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)

MIG welding utilizes a continuous wire electrode and a shielding gas to protect the weld from atmospheric contamination, while TIG welding uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode and a separate filler material. Both techniques offer exceptional precision and control, making them ideal for intricate welding tasks and applications requiring superior aesthetic appeal.

Continuous Wire Welding

Also known as wire feed welding, this technique involves feeding a continuous wire electrode through a welding gun, which melts and fuses with the base metal to form a weld. Continuous wire welding, often used in conjunction with inert gases, offers high efficiency and deposition rates, making it suitable for high-volume welding operations.

Other Techniques

ITAFORMA also covers specialized techniques such as flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), submerged arc welding (SAW), and plasma arc welding (PAW), providing students with a comprehensive understanding of various welding methods and their applications in different industries.

We have formed
over 2000 welders
today they work all over the world!

By immersing students in the intricacies of these welding techniques, ITAFORMA ensures that graduates are well-prepared to tackle diverse welding challenges and excel in their chosen field. With hands-on training and expert guidance, students gain the confidence and proficiency needed to succeed as skilled welders in today’s competitive job market.
